Availability of Faculty

All faculty members who teach classes must be accessible to students each week of a semester during designated, posted times.  All faculty members must be available to students for at least 1.25 hour per week for each class taught, with a maximum of five required hours. Students have the options to meet with faculty in person or electronically at a scheduled time.  All faculty members who teach classes may meet this requirement either by maintaining office hours or by responding to queries from students online or through other mobile devices during the publicly communicated time period (s). However, faculty members who teach face to face are encouraged to maintain office hours.  The faculty member’s availability must be included in the syllabus, regardless of the mode of delivery of the class or the method of distribution of the syllabus.  Faculty are strongly encouraged to be accessible through multiple means and respond to all student inquiries in a timely manner whether they occur during posted hours or not.
