Nutrition Minor

Proper nutrition plays a vital role in ensuring we all live longer and have lower risks for serious health problems. The University of Central Missouri’s Nutrition minor provides you with a deeper understanding of the role nutrition plays in living a happy and healthy life. You’ll explore the science behind nutrition and the fundamentals of food, human development and dietary requirements.

Our Nutrition minor offers courses on campus and some online for undergraduate students also majoring in Biology, Health Studies, Kinesiology and other health-related bachelor’s degrees. As the demand for health and wellness professionals continues to grow, adding a Nutrition minor to your UCM bachelor’s degree will add value and depth to your credentials.

A direct pathway to a master’s degree

Undergraduate students pursuing the Nutrition minor are eligible to apply for UCM’s MS Clinical Nutrition (Future Education Model), an 18-month Clinical Nutrition master’s degree program that prepares aspiring professionals to sit for the Registered Dietitian Exam.
