The University of Central Missouri Bilingual Computer Support Specialist program will prepare you to begin this high-demand career. You will learn to provide technical assistance to computer system users, answer questions and resolve computer problems. Median pay for computer support specialists is approximately $52,810 annually, according to the US Department of Labor, with job growth anticipated at 11 percent through 2026. Students completing this course will be prepared to take industry-recognized CompTIA A+ exam (voucher provided). Through this program, students earn an industry-recognized certificate and continuing education units which may not be applied to a degree program and are not eligible for federal financial aid.

Through this course, you will learn how to provide assistance related to use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail and operating systems. Support specialists typically work within a company that uses computer systems for day-to-day business or directly for a computer hardware or software service provider. After completing the course, you will be ready to take the CompTIA A+ certification exam, which is highly sought after by employers. Students also receive a voucher for the exam fee as part of this course.
