Tri Beta National Honorary Society Dr. Dana Tucker
Beta Beta Beta (TriBeta) is a society for students, particularly undergraduates, dedicated to improving the understanding and appreciation of biological study and extending boundaries of human knowledge through scientific research. Since its founding in 1922, more than 200,000 persons have been accepted into lifetime membership, and more than 520 chapters have been established throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.
The Wildlife Society Jennifer Mittelhauser and Dawn Pauling
We are a local, student chapter of The Wildlife Society, which is an international, non-profit organization of students and wildlife professionals dedicated to excel-ence in stewardship and wildlife through education and science. Since 1937, The Wildlife Society has worked to advance the science and practice of wildlife conserv-ation, management, promote continuing education of wildlife professionals, while advocating for a science-based wildlife policy. These activities further the Society’s mission to enhance the ability of wildlife professionals to conserve diversity, sustain productivity, and ensure responsible use of wildlife resources for the benefit of society.
Paramedico Dr. Anna Oller
Para-Medico is the best pre-professional organization on campus.It is specifically designed for students pursuing a professional career in the health care field. Examples of professional health careers include: audiologist, chiropractor, dentist, dietitian, nurse anesthetist, medical doctor, medical technologist, nurse practitioner, optometrist, podiatrist, osteopathic doctor, pharmacist, physical therapist, physician assistant, psychologist, registered nurse, veterinarian, speech-language pathologist, and occupational therapist.
Pre-Vet Club Dr. Anna Oller
Was established to maintain a spirit of fellowship among all students interested in animal science and to further the knowledge of pre-veterinary students in their possible future career field, through extracurricular activities, such as observing practicing veterinarians.
