Career Development Certificate Program (CDCP)
The Career Development Certificate program (CDCP) is a not-for credit program designed to aid students with their career development and transition to the workforce. The CDCP consists of eight modules covering the following topics:
- Career Developmental Services
- Building Your Brand
- Networking and LinkedIn
- The Hidden Job Market
- Professional Dress and Interviewing
- Targeted Resume and Cover Letters
- College to Career
- Etiquette Dinner and Mock Interviews
CDCP is offered in the Spring and Fall and meets every other Monday from 2-4pm. Students can enroll through MyCentral; the course number for the program is NC4000 and the fee for the program is $50. This fee includes all course materials and the admission to the Etiquette Dinner. The class is a point based system that requires students to achieve a minimum number of points to achieve certification.
Upon successful completion of the program, CDCP will appear on student transcripts, indicating to future employers that students are actively working to prepare themselves for the workforce.
Designing CDCP was a collaborative effort on behalf of the Career Development Services and Delta Epsilon Iota to offer a comprehensive program which will give students a strong foundation for a seamless transition from college to career.
