Franklin Wagner is a Kansas City-based acting teacher and voice and dialect coach. With extensive training in Fitzmaurice Voicework, Colaianni Speechwork, and Knight-Thompson Speechwork, their approach is rooted in techniques including a kinesthetic learning approach and incorporating posture, prosody, pronunciation, and people to help students and casts acquire accents. As adjunct Theatre Faculty at Metropolitan Community College–Longview in Kansas City, MO, and a Teaching Artist with The Coterie Theatre, Franklin has experience teaching various courses related to public speaking, movement, dialects, and acting. Franklin holds an M.F.A. in Acting and Directing from the University of Missouri–Kansas City and a Postgraduate Diploma in Classical Acting from The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. He is a proud member of VASTA and ATHE and has worked professionally as an actor, dialect coach, and movement coach.
