After teaching special education in Des Moines, Iowa, Mrs. Lana Hopping moved to Missouri to teach for the Holden R-III School District. After finishing her career in the Warrensburg R-VI School District, Mrs. Hopping came to UCM where she teaches EDSP 2100, Education of the Exceptional Child. She earned her BS in Education from Western Illinois University and her MS in Education from UCM. She enjoys teaching EDSP 2100 because it allows her to introduce education majors to special education, which helps them prepare to be effective educators in diverse classroom environments.
