Dr. Theresa Earles-Vollrath earned a BSE in Special Education with a specialization in working with students with intellectual disabilities and emotional/behavior disorders from Central Missouri State University (now UCM). She pursued her MSE and PhD from the University of Kansas, focusing on working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Dr. Vollrath began her tenure at UCM in August 2002, and presently teaches courses related to autism, moderate to severe developmental disabilities, IEP and SPED Law, and behavior management. In addition, she is a BCBA and serves as the Program Coordinator for the Behavior Analysis Program. Before joining UCM, Dr. Vollrath worked as a teacher for students with autism, severe developmental disabilities, and intellectual disabilities. She also held positions as the Director of the Autism Resource Center at the University of Kansas, an autism specialist in a large suburban school district, and the Clinical Director of the Midwest Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders. Moreover, Dr. Earles-Vollrath has provided consultation services to local school districts for the past 20 years. During her leisure time, she enjoys spending time with her family and watching sports.
