Dr. Brian Hughes

Brian Hughes has been on staff at UCM since 2001 where he currently holds the rank of  professor and serves as the director of the athletic training program. Prior to UCM, Brian obtained his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University followed by his masters and doctoral degrees from Oklahoma State University. Dr. Hughes’ primary clinical experiences center around the collegiate athletic setting and international wrestling. As a highly engaged practitioner, Brian has served on many state, district and national level committees including the role of immediate past-chair of the NATA’s Professional Development Committee. Dr. Hughes’ primary teaching responsibilities include injury evaluation and management, orthopedic assessment, and healthcare administration.
