Dr. Derek Crawford
Derek Crawford joined the Kinesiology program in fall 2019 as an assistant professor. Dr. Crawford has earned a Master's in Exercise Physiology and PhD in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Oklahoma along with completing post-doctoral work through Kansas State University. He joined the School after serving for years as an assistant professor at Pittsburg State University in Kansas. His research focuses on exploring the psychophysiology of exercise behavior and its effects on health outcomes in populations at risk for chronic disability. At UCM, Dr. Crawford teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in exercise science.
