Bruce Lyon

 

Bruce Lyon is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Professional Engineer (P.E.), Safety Management Professional (SMP), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) and American Society of Safety Professionals Fellow (FASSP).  He has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Safety and a Master of Science in Occupational Safety Management from the University of Central Missouri (UCM).  Bruce is a Vice President of Risk Management Services for Brown & Brown, Inc. and has over 40 years of experience in risk assessment and risk management.  He is the Chair of the ANSI/ASSP Z310 Risk Management standard committee, the Vice Chair of the ANSI/ASSP Z590.3 Prevention through Design standard committee and a former President of the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).  In addition, he is the Chair of the Advisory Committee to the Occupational Risk and Safety Sciences Department at UCM.
