

Dr. Tsvetan Popov holds an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy in Sofia, Bulgaria, an M.S. in Industrial Hygiene from the University of Central Missouri, and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Defense Staff Military Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria. While serving as an Inspector Analytical Chemist at the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), the 2013 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to the organization "for its extensive efforts to eliminate chemical weapons." Dr. Popov's professional interests include safety, environmental protection, risk assessment, toxicology, analytical chemistry, chromatography, and mass spectrometry.
