

Dr. Wesley Tinker is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Occupational Risk and Safety Sciences, where he has been a faculty member since the Fall of 2017. Dr. Tinker holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Murray State University, an Ed.S. in Occupational Education from the University of Central Missouri, an MS in Occupational Safety Management from Eastern Kentucky University, and a BS in Crisis and Disaster Management/Safety Management/Fire Science from the University of Central Missouri. Dr. Tinker is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) since 2004. Dr. Tinker has several years of emergency services experience as well as 11 years of safety industry experience in both the private and public sectors, with heavy emphasis on accident investigations, industrial fire safety, and risk assessments.
