Interfraternity Council (IFC)

The Interfraternity Council serves as the governing body of the entire fraternal system. IFC is led by eight elected executive officers. The voting membership is composed of two members from each of the individual chapters. IFC is proud to be one of the driving forces behind UCM's strong tradition of Greek excellence, by providing leadership opportunities within the Greek community and the University as a whole. First-year members are not eligible to move to the Fraternity Complex or to any off-campus housing. Those who reside off-campus include Sigma Phi Epsilon and Sigma Tau Gamma. Panhellenic Council (NPC)

The National Panhellenic Conference was organized in 1902 in recognition of a need to maintain high standards of sorority life and good relations among the sororities. Originally, Panhellenic's primary interest was in organizing recruitment and compiling rules for pledging and initiation, as well as, organizing new chapters. Eventually, however, the desire for inter-sorority spirit spurred the National Panhellenic Conference to become a forum for discussing questions of mutual interest and concern. UCM's Panhellenic Association is the local organization composed of students who are interested in furthering the growth of sorority members, chapters and the entire Greek community. First-year members may move into Panhellenic Hall for their second semester if there is availability. UCM's National Panhellenic Conference include:

National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC)

NPHC is the governing body for the nine historically African-American Greek letter organizations. UCM is proud to have eight of the Divine Nine on our campus at this time. NPHC's purpose is to create and maintain high standards in the life of the member organizations and to perpetuate fraternity and sorority relationships.
