Campus Cupboard

Who Are We?

Campus Cupboard is a volunteer-based, 501(c)(3) charity dedicated to alleviating hunger and financial burdens in the University of Central Missouri community. Food and personal care items are provided.

Campus Cupboard opened in October 2013. It was developed through the collaborative efforts of the Office of Student Activities, the Department of Communication Disorders and Social Work, and the Department of Nutrition and Kinesiology, along with an Opportunity Grant from the UCM Alumni Foundation.

Fall and Spring semester hours: Tuesday and Wednesday 3:00-5:00 pm

Who Do We Serve?

Campus Cupboard serves the University of Central Missouri campus community. Any UCM faculty, staff member or student who presents a valid UCM ID. Visitors can visit the Cupboard once a week. Protein, miscellaneous, meal, dessert, drinks, veggies, and self care are categories that items can be selected from at the Campus Cupboard.

For emergency situations, after business hours, contact 660-543-4381.

Location

Campus Cupboard is located at Garrison 052, in the lower level of the UCM Student Recreation and Wellness Center. Take a left at the locker rooms and another left at the end of the hall. It’s the first door on the left.

Fresh produce is donated by local farms on occasion.

Campus Cupboard Garden

Established in Summer 2026 through funding from the American Democracy Project (ADP) Grant, the Campus Cupboard Garden helps provide fresh produce while promoting sustainability and food access on campus. The garden grows a variety of fruits, vegetables, and herbs, including peppers, tomatoes, melons, cucumbers, and more. Through hands-on learning and community involvement, the garden supports the Campus Cupboard's mission of reducing food insecurity and encouraging healthy eating.
