Dual Credit High School Application

Registering in UCM courses is easy and we can’t wait to welcome you to our UCM family. 

Eligibility criteria

To participate in UCM’s dual credit program, students must meet the following criteria:

 

If you are in the 11th or 12th grade with a EOC score equivalent to a US 3.0 GPA or higher

You are automatically eligible for dual credit courses!

If you are in the 11th or 12th grade with an EOC score equivalent to a US GPA between 2.5-2.99

Signed letter of recommendation from your principal or guidance counselor.

Attend an ABC sponsored school

 

 

Available courses

Public Speaking - COMM 1000 - January 9th to May 9th - 3 credit hours - Section# 23597

A study and practice of basic principles involved in discovering, arranging, delivering, and evaluating ideas in speech situations. UCM General Education Competency: This course fulfills Foundational Skills Competency #2 in the Communication area of the UCM General Education Program.  This course is equivalent to MOTR COMM 110 Fundamentals of Public Speaking in the Oral Communication Knowledge Area.

 

General Psychology - PSY 1100 - January 9th to May 9th - 3 credit hours - Section# 23598

A general introduction to the science of behavior, surveying the broad field of psychology and the methods of investigation. UCM General Education Competency: This course fulfills Knowledge Competency #8 and reinforces Foundational Skills Competency #4 in the Social & Behavioral Sciences area of the UCM General Education Program. This course is equivalent to MOTR PSYC 100 General Psychology in the Social & Behavioral Sciences Knowledge Area.

  • Registration period: November 14th to December 11th, 2022.
