Benecia Carmack

Associate Professor of Criminal Justice & Criminology

Professor Carmack teaches Introduction to Criminal Justice, Criminal Law & Procedure, Evidence & Courtroom Procedure, Law of Corrections & Prisoners’ Rights, SP: White Collar Crime, Graduate Legal Aspects, and serves as the CJC Internship Coordinator.

  • She is a faculty sponsor and advisor of the Pre-Law Student Association. She frequently works with the Central Missouri Police Academy training cadets on suppression hearings and evidence matters.
  • After a short time in private practice, she served as municipal judge for the city of Clinton, Missouri in Henry County for over 16 years.  While serving as a municipal judge, she was a board member of the Missouri Municipal and Associate Circuit Judges Association for four years.
  • She is a member of the Missouri Bar and the American Bar Association
