LTC Brandon Boatwright

Professor of Military Science

LTC Boatwright provides leadership for the program and teaches MS 4410 Mission Command and the Army Profession and MS 4420 Mission Command and the Company Grade Officer

  • Enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserve as a Military Police Officer in 2000
  • Commissioned in 2004 as a Field Artillery Officer
  • Over 20 years of experience including field artillery, human resource management, platoon leader, company commander, operations officer, and Deputy G-1

Military Awards & Decorations include:

Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (4OLC), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (1OLC), Army Achievement Medal (3OLC), National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Operation Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.

Military Service includes:

Domestic: Fort Sill, OK: various assignments in the 1 - 77 FA Battalion, 75th Fires Brigade, and 31st Air Defense Artillery Brigade.  Fort Leonard Wood, MO: Company Commander in the 43rd AG Battalion and S1 for the 4th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade.  Fort Riley, KS:  1st Infantry Division Deputy G1.  Fort Leavenworth, KS: Operations Officer for the Combined Arms Doctrine Directorate (CADD) and Deputy G1 for the Combined Arms Center (CAC)

International: Operation Iraqi Freedom (2005-2006), Operation Enduring Freedom (deployment to Qatar as HHB CDR),  Operation Inherent Resolve (Iraq).  While deployed in support of OIR, he served as the Department of Defense Liaison to the Department of State at the Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center (BDSC) 

Personal:

LTC Boatwright has three children: Aubrey, 18, in her first year at the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY; Landon, 14, and Ava, 3.5.  He spends any free time traveling with or for his children, bicycling, or lifting weights.
