Jeffrey Sloan

Senior Military Science Instructor

LTC Jeffrey Sloan (Ret.) provides support for all classes and all cadets in the program.

  • Commissioned as an Engineer Officer (1991)
  • 25 years of service commanding at every level from platoon to battalion and serving on staff from battalion to corps
  • LTC Sloan (Ret.) earned degrees from:

Westminster College (1991) Distinguished Military Graduate, Business Administration

Joint Forces Staff College

U.S. Army Command & General Staff College

Military Awards & Decorations include:

Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Reserve Component Overseas Training Ribbon, Parachutist Badge, and he is a recipient of the Bronze Order of the de Fleury Medal

Military Service includes:

Combat tour in Iraq, humanitarian assistance operations in Panama and Honduras, foreign military cooperation engagements in South Korea, Japan, Thailand, & Tanzania, expeditionary road building projects in Alaska, and multiple defense support to civil authority responses in support of floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, winter storms, and civil disturbance.

Personal:

Mr. Sloan currently resides in Blue Springs, Missouri with his wife, Stacy and their daughter, Juliana who attends Blue Springs High School.  Their son, Austin is currently serving in the U.S. Navy at Joint Expeditionary Base – Little Creek, Virginia Beach, Virginia.
