SFC Anthony C. Chidester enlisted in the US Army in 2009 and completed One Station Unit Training (OSUT) to become a 19D Cavalry Scout in Fort Knox, KY.
SFC Chidester has been assigned to the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment out of Fort Hood, TX where he deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom/ Operation New Dawn. SFC Chidester later served with 4th Infantry Division, 2nd Infantry Division, First Army, and 1st Cavalry Division. SFC Chidester served in support of one EUCOM deployment, one PACOM mission to support and assist allies as well as one deployment to Kuwait in support of Operation Spartan Shield.
SFC Chidester’s military education includes Warrior Leader’s Course, Advanced Leader’s Course, Senior Leader’s Course, and Rappel Master’s Course.
SFC Chidester has earned the Combat Action Badge, Air Assault Badge, Parachutist Badge, and Pathfinder Badge.
