SFC Garrett Rebstock enlisted in the Active Duty Army in 2013 as a 19D Cavalry Scout. Upon completing One Station Unit Training (OSUT) and attending the U.S. Army Airborne School in Ft. Benning, GA, he was assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment (ABN) with the 82nd Airborne Division. He served in the roles as a radio telephone operator (RTO), machine gunner, Team Leader, and a Scout Section Leader. He deployed to Kabul, Afghanistan in 2017 in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel.
SFC Rebstock’s most recent assignment was as a Reconnaissance Platoon Sergeant in 1st BN, 23rd IN, 1-2 Stryker Brigade Combat Team. He served in the role for three years and conducted a Korean Rotational Force Deployment serving nine months in Camp Casey, Korea.
SFC Rebstock’s military education includes Basic Airborne Course, the Basic, Advanced, and Senior Leader’s Course, Combatives I & II, the Scout Leader Course, the Unit Movement Officer Course, and the Jumpmaster Course.
