Grades 1-6 Option, Blended Pathway, Bachelor of Science in Education Degree

Elementary Education majors in the grades 1-6 option will be certified to teach in any classroom grades 1-6. Students may add additional certifications with this major such as early childhood or middle school certification.

What will I study?
Elementary Education majors study a core of education and liberal arts classes. Combined with a professional education semester that includes 16 weeks of student teaching. Elementary Education majors choose a teaching area of concentration. These are: Art, English, Instructional Technology, Mathematics, Modern Languages, Science, Social Studies, and Speech Communication or Theatre.
