The Center is a formal training environment for civilians and professionals alike. All students are asked to follow our dress code which consists of attire that is typically found in a professional office environment; T-shirts, tank tops, shorts or sandals are not appropriate in class.

This basic 6 hour course is designed for a road officer or other officials who responds to the scene of a traffic crash, yet has no formal training in crash investigation techniques. Participants will learn how to determine what physical evidence should be identified and documented on a STARS report, as well as the best methods for preserving the evidence of a vehicle crash scene should further investigation be required. This course can also be used to ensure that officers have the necessary knowledge and skills to properly collect and document crash data for a STARS report. It can also be used for anyone needing a basic refresher in on-scene crash investigation.
