Missouri Safety Center Dress Code:
The Center is a formal training environment for civilians and professionals alike. All students are asked to follow our dress code which consists of attire that is typically found in a professional office environment; T-shirts, tank tops, shorts or sandals are not appropriate in class.

NOTE: You, as a certified law enforcement officer of the state of Missouri, should familiarize yourself with P.O.S.T's rules and regulations regarding required continuing education hours. As of January 1, 1996, you will need to begin tracking all training you take from P.O.S.T. approved providers. The Missouri Safety Center is a P.O.S.T. certified training provider.

This course accompanies the Type III Operator training course. In order to become a Type III permit holder a law enforcement officer must attend both the Type III Operator Course AND at least one Type III Instrument Lab. The lab may be attended for refresher training (or permit renewal); however permission from the breath alcohol program manager must be obtained prior to registration. This course may also be taken when a current Type III permit holder is adding or changing the instrument(s) listed on their Type III permit.

Who may attend? Those seeking a Type III permit for the breath alcohol instrument known as the Intoximeters ECIR II, which is approved for evidential breath alcohol testing in the State of Missouri. You may register for this course if the Intoximeters ECIR II is being used in the immediate vicinity of your agency/jurisdiction.

**Please provide your Type III permit number and expiration date in the "Comments" section when submitting your enrollment/registration information.**

The tuition is funded by MoDOT Division of Highway Safety. Arrangements for meals and lodging will be your responsibility. Because our classes have limited seating, and are filled on a first come first serve basis, we ask for a 48 hour notice of cancellation. This may allow someone else, on a waiting list, to take the course.
