Among the Best in the Nation - U.S. News Recognizes UCM Nursing and Business Graduate Programs

The 2023-2024 U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate Schools rankings have recognized the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and the part-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs at the University of Central Missouri for their high enrollment rates, high average test scores and more.

Governor Announces UCM as Recipient of $300,000 Grant to Support Nursing Education Programs, Reduce Staffing Shortages in Field

The University of Central Missouri is one of 11 Missouri public and private colleges and universities that will benefit from nearly $3 million in grant funding from Governor Mike Parson to support nursing education programs and the development of solutions to alleviate staffing shortages area nationwide. Missouri Governor Mike Parson announced this initiative this week. UCM will receive $300,000, according to the governor’s office. The competitive grants were part of a special appropriation to the Missouri State Board of Nursing that was recommended by the governor.

UCM School of Nursing Open House Scheduled for Sept. 27

The University of Central Missouri’s School of Nursing will host an open house from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 27 at the Missouri Innovation Campus, UCM’s Lee’s Summit campus, 1101 Innovation Parkway. Register by Sept. 9 to attend and learn more about the nursing profession and the recognized programs offered by UCM.

Nursing School Chair Nic Webb Named to AASCU Emerging Leaders Program

Nic Webb, DNP, an associate professor and chair of the University of Central Missouri School of Nursing, has been named to a new cohort of higher education professionals across the nation who are participating in the 2022 Emerging Leaders Program (ELP). Webb, who travels to the nation’s capital June 15-17 to participate in the program, is one of 36 individuals who are part of this a premier leadership development initiative established by the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU).
