The University of Central Missouri (UCM) Gallery of Art and Design presents “Seasons,” the annual exhibition of artwork by the Mid-Missouri Artists Inc. This exhibition
will be on display from June 15 to July 22 at the UCM Art Center.
Mid-Missouri Artists Inc. (MMA) is a regional arts organization that supports artists
and promotes the arts. The members meet regularly to discuss art and the business
of being an artist. They also exhibit together at least twice yearly, including the
annual summer exhibition at the UCM Gallery of Art and Design.
This year's exhibition theme is "Seasons,” with each artist interpreting it through
a wide range of media, including painting, drawing, photography, mixed media, and
sculpture. Visitors will see artwork by returning favorites, including Rebecca Limback
and Brett Butler, as well as new faces such as Meagan Jacoby. “Seasons” will be in
the Main Gallery.
The public is invited to a reception celebrating this exhibition from 5 to 7 p.m.
Wednesday, June 17, in the Art Center. The New Century Dulcimer Ensemble will play
during the reception, and refreshments will be served.
The UCM Gallery of Art and Design is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Admission is free and open to the public.
