Spring 2023 Commencement Includes Four Ceremonies, Five Individual Awards
The presentation of five individual awards honoring the achievements of exceptional faculty members, students and alumni and the conferring of degrees on hundreds of graduate and undergraduate students will highlight 2023 Spring Commencement exercises at the University of Central Missouri. While all students who have completed their degree requirements are not expected to participate, more than 2,000 new graduates are eligible to walk in one of four ceremonies planned the weekend of May 5-6 in the Multipurpose Building.

UCM Faculty Member, Safety Advisory Board Chair Honored as ASSP Fellows
Two individuals who have had an impact on University of Central Missouri students entering the safety profession, Bruce Lyon and Georgi Popov, have been honored as Fellows by the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP). They are among three 2023 recipients of this award which is the highest honor given by the Society in recognition of their significant contributions to the occupational safety and health profession.

VanBlarcum, Tremain Honored as 2023 Charno Award Winners at UCM
After already compiling an impressive list of accomplishments as students at the University of Central Missouri, Paige VanBlarcum and Cade Tremain have been named recipients of Charno Awards, the most prestigious honor given to new university graduates.
