KMOS-TV Awarded Grant to Develop, Promote PBS Docuseries "American Portrait - The Story of Us"
KMOS-TV applied for and has been awarded a $15,000 American Portrait grant to showcase a population that often goes under served and under seen. KMOS-TV has partnered with West-Central Independent Living Solutions (WILS) and Services for Independent Living (SIL) of Columbia to help gather user-generated content for this program by highlighting individuals with disabilities in central Missouri.

After Interim Post, Klein Appointed University Librarian at James C. Kirkpatrick Library
Providing leadership for an important University of Central Missouri resource, Janette Klein has been named University Librarian. Her appointment overseeing the operations of James C. Kirkpatrick Library became effective Dec. 1, following her interim service at this post since February 2020.

UCM-Greater KC Writing Project Awarded $2.3 Million to Advance Literacy Skills for Kids and Teens
The Greater Kansas City Writing Project at the University of Central Missouri was awarded over $569,000 for the first year of a five year $2.3 million subgrant as part of a state-wide effort to improve literacy and ultimately the lives of Missouri children.
