UCM Athletics Legend Jerry Hughes Honored Through Building Renaming
During the four decades Jerry Hughes served in a leadership post within University of Central Missouri Intercollegiate Athletics, the UCM Multipurpose Building became much like a second home. He devoted countless hours at the institution’s main indoor sports arena watching the growth of thousands of student athletes, the building of regional and national championship athletics teams, and the countless celebrations that came with the home-teams’ successes. Although Hughes passed away on Jan. 21, 2023 while he was serving as Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics, his professional legacy will live on with the Multipurpose Building being renamed the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center.

With New MACADA Recognition, Schueller Contributes to UCM's History of Award-winning Academic Advisement Professionals
When it comes to advising students on the best path toward a successful higher education experience, University of Central Missouri staff members have no shortage of recognition through state, regional and national accolades. Success in this area is once again being highlighted with Ken Schueller being named recipient of the Missouri Academic Advising Association (MACADA) Outstanding Academic Advising Award for an Academic Advising Administrator.

S&P Global Ratings Assign UCM 'A+' Long-term Rating for Sixth Year
The University of Central Missouri has received a long-term rating of “A+” by Standard & Poor’s (S&P) Global Ratings for the sixth consecutive year regarding its Missouri Health & Educational facilities Authority’s series 3013C, 2018A and 2018B educational facilities bonds. In addition, as a result of UCM’s dedication to sound financial operations, the rating continues to include a stable outlook.
