Students, faculty and staff at the University of Central Missouri (UCM) spent the second half of their summer hosting and attending professional development workshops, engaging with young learners through educational camps and bringing home national awards. From a middle school camp for Nature Detectives to numerous recognitions for Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, our Mules and Jennies have been busy this offseason.

UCM Earns National Recognition for Preparing Future Elementary Teachers in the Science of Reading

The undergraduate elementary teacher preparation program at the University of Central Missouri (UCM) has earned an A+ from the National Council on Teacher Quality (NCTQ) for how well it prepares future teachers to teach reading to elementary students.
