State convenes on campus June 17-24.
John Brennan, former director of the Central Intelligence Agency, will accept the
George W. Lehr Speakers Chair from Missouri Boys State as he delivers the keynote
address on Monday, June 19.
Additional speakers for the week include former Oregon Governor and Missouri Boys
State alumnus Ted Kulongoski on Sunday, June 18; Missouri State Auditor Nicole Galloway
on Tuesday, 20; and Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley on Thursday, June 22. Missouri
Governor Eric Greitens will speak to Boys State citizens on Friday, June 23.
In addition to the keynote speakers, the Missouri Court of Appeals will be in session
on Monday, June 19.
Since its inception in 1938, Missouri Boys State has provided more than 40,000 high
school juniors with the opportunity to study and understand the democratic processes
at the core of American society through hands-on experience. Boys State citizens will
participate in their own city, county and state governments throughout the week, running
for office and accepting challenges in roles that will prepare them to be productive
