                                             WARRENSBURG, MO – The University of Central Missouri student chapter of the American
                                                Institute of Building Design has been recognized as the AIBD Student Chapter of the
                                                Year for the second consecutive year.
University of Central Missouri AIBD chapter members celebrating the Chapter of the

Under the leadership of UCM alumna Alix Calon, who was president of the UCM chapter
                                                of AIBD during the 2015-16 and 2016-17 school years, AIBD held the first annual UCM
                                                Build and Design Day at UCM in March 2016. Calon coordinated the event, bringing students
                                                together with professionals in the residential design industry to network. The UCM
                                                chapter also hosted the event in April 2017.
The annual event is available to all UCM students, as well as students invited to
                                                attend from regional high schools, technical colleges and universities. The goal of
                                                the conference is to reach all students interested in or currently pursuing a degree
                                                in architectural drafting and technology, interior design, construction management,
                                                and engineering.
