KC Trade Forum and Regional Tour and A Global Students Connected Experience to be Presented at Kansas City’s Union Station Oct. 27-29

The University of Central Missouri is joining forces with Global Classroom Exchange and the World Trade Center Kansas City to present the KC Trade Forum and Regional Tour and A Global Students Client Connected Experience featuring several area school districts, scheduled for Oct. 27-29 at Union Station in Kansas City.

 

The invitation-only event will focus on topics and industries such as agriculture, technology, energy, mining, water, education, entrepreneurship, logistics and regional economic development. Also included are a mix of site visits, tours and business roundtables featuring influential business leaders and government officials from across the Kansas City region.

 

Special guests at the forum and regional tour are the leadership of the South Eastern Kenya Economic Bloc including HE Dr. Alfred Mutua, governor of Machakos County; HE Charity Ngilu, governor of Kitui County; and HE Dr. Kivutha Kibwana, governor of Makueni County. The event is designed to cover a variety of industries and topics that will lead to trade, business and education opportunities between the South Eastern Kenya Economic Bloc and the Kansas City region.

In addition, the University of Central Missouri is partnering with the Government of Makueni County-Kenya, a member of the South Eastern Kenya Economic Bloc (SEKEB), and Global Classroom Exchange (GCE) to enhance international workforce development and education opportunities. The Kenya partnership officially launched in January 2021.
