As an expert in food and nutrition, a licensed dietician assists and counsels clients in various professional arenas. From educational to corporate settings or hospitals to food service, a dietician uses his or her knowledge and skills to lead others to a healthier lifestyle, or to meet specific wellness goals.
With a solid foundation in liberal arts, engaged learning and future-focused academics, UCM's dietetics students enter the workforce prepared.
The Didactic Program in Dietetics at UCM prepares students meet the UCM's degree criteria while simultaneously obtaining the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to enter a dietetic internship as established by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
