Reporting Suspicious Activity

Suspicious activity can be reported to DPS by calling 911, the business phone 660-543-4123, the TIPS Hotline (660-543-8477), using an emergency telephone, and the DPS Text Line 660-422-2632. 

If you are reporting a suspicious person(s) or activity to the Department of Public Safety, be prepared to give the following information:

• Location
• Number of individuals
• Description of individual(s)
• License number and direction of travel
• Whether or not any weapons are involved 

Be as specific as possible and stay connected until the dispatcher indicates that you can hang up
