Lean Six Sigma Graduate Certificate

Creating Quality Professionals

This certificate program at the University of Central Missouri is designed for industrial professionals seeking insight into techniques of Lean Six Sigma systems while preparing for the Lean Certification by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) or Six Sigma Green Belt Certification and/or the Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence Certification from the American Society for Quality (ASQ). The five required courses will integrate with the Industrial Management and Technology master’s degree programs as an area of specialization.

The program is delivered via the Internet using web-based tools for effective learning.

Program Objectives

Program consists of fifteen semester hours intended for industrial and service managers, supervisors, and others who desire to bridge their companies’ productivity to Lean-Six Sigma methods. Students will gain the most recent skills and knowledge in Lean systems, Six Sigma, quality tools, problem solving, critical thinking, and quality management principles while preparing for certification examinations.

* IndM 5130 or ENGT 5580 is a pre-requisite for IndM 5222, 5232, and 6580.
