Management Minor

Are you a forward-thinking leader who wants to learn how to inspire and motivate others? Maybe you want a competitive advantage in the job market. Adding a Management minor to your major program of study at the University of Central Missouri strengthens the tools you have to accomplish your personal and career goals.

UCM’s minor in Management is open to any undergraduate student who wants to add a business foundation to their major. Over the course of the Management minor, you’ll gain a fundamental understanding of business communication, HR management, networking and innovation — all while getting hands-on experience both inside and outside the classroom.

What you will study

As a Management minor at the University of Central Missouri, you’ll take classes that explore the fundamentals of effective management, collaboration and communication and creative problem-solving. 

Core courses explore topics in organizational management, experience-based organizational behavior, business communication and human resource management.

You’ll also be able to take courses to tailor your educational experience to your interests. Choose from electives such as:
