Sustainable Material Handling Certificate

Begin your new career in construction, warehouse, distribution and related fields

By enrolling in the University of Central Missouri Sustainable Materials Handling certificate programs, students will obtain the knowledge and tools needed to begin a successful career in construction, warehouse and distribution/supply. The course prepares students to work as effective, safe and sustainably minded entry-level stock movers, material movers, freight movers and laborers in the construction, warehouse, distribution and supply chain/logistics fields (as well as with any organization who inventory /move products/supplies). Entry-level workers are introduced to concepts and skills designed to make them a successful part of a operations team. Through this program, students earn an industry-recognized certificate and continuing education units which may not be applied to a degree program and are not eligible for federal financial aid.

Participants will learn important safety concepts such as materials handling, forklift and working in small spaces.

Students successfully completing this comprehensive program will earn several valuable certificates and credentials including OSHA 10, Missouri Class 4-5 Forklift, and American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED credentials.
