Undergraduate Accountancy Program

Accountancy Program Statement of Policy

For admission to the accountancy major, a student must have a cumulative GPA of 2.65 (4.00 scale) or higher on all completed undergraduate college credit and a GPA of 2.65 (or above) on the 24 semester hours of B.S.B.A. preadmission courses. Any exceptions to this policy must be approved by the Accountancy Program Coordinator.

UCM students at the UCM Summit Center.A minimum grade of C must be earned in the following courses if they are to be applied toward the fulfillment of an accountancy major or minor: ACCT 2101 Principles of Financial Accounting, ACCT 2102 Principles of Managerial Accounting, ACCT 3110 Intermediate Financial Accounting I, ACCT 3111 Intermediate Financial Accounting II, ACCT 3112 Intermediate Financial Accounting III, ACCT 3120 Cost & Managerial Accounting, ACCT 3130 Introduction to Income Tax, and ACCT 3160 Accounting Information Systems.

A student with an accountancy major or minor may enroll in a course offered by the Accountancy Program only if a grade of C or higher is earned in each of the course's accounting prerequisites.

To graduate with a BSBA, major in Accountancy, a student must have a cumulative GPA of 2.65 or higher.
