Dr. Streich is Professor of Political Science in the Department of Government, Law, and International Affairs, and served as Department Chair from 2014 to 2026. He has published articles in peer-reviewed journals such as Political Psychology, Constellations, Journal of Social Philosophy, Citizenship Studies, and the Journal of Populism Studies. Most notably, he has authored three books: Justice Beyond “Just Us”: Dilemmas of Time, Place, and Difference in American Politics; U.S. Foreign Policy: A Documentary and Reference Guide (with Dr. Akis Kalaitzidis); and Urban Social Capital: Civil Society and City Life (with Dr. Joseph Lewandowski). Additionally, he has won several awards for his teaching and research, including the Distinguished Faculty Award from the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
