Kristen Henning (she/her) received her AA with emphasis in Theatre/Speech Communication from State Fair Community College (2007), BFA in Theatre Performance from University of Central Missouri (2010), MA in Theatre History/Dramatic Literature from University of Missouri-Kansas City (2014), MA in Communication from University of Central Missouri (2015), and is currently pursuing her MEd from Central Methodist University. Going on 12 years of collegiate teaching experience, she has taught a variety of theatre and speech communication courses with various Missouri colleges and universities.

She’s received Direction commendations for Be More Chill and Murder Ballad with KCACTF Region V. Be More Chill was one of seven regional productions selected and performed as an Invited Production for the 2020 Region V Festival.

In 2021, she was honored with the KCACTF Region V Road Warrior Award, and most recently in 2022, Murder Ballad was nominated/selected for the festival’s Invited Scene Showcase.
