Find your educational foundation and future at UCM

As you build or expand your educational foundation at UCM, you’ll have opportunities to:

  • Apply your learning: From our undergraduate courses to our master’s degree programs, you’ll put sound theory into effective practice to ensure your successful understanding of the material. Whether student teaching or applying new strategies in your own K–12 classroom, expect to see real progress along the way.
  • Engage in research: It’s not uncommon for our undergraduate students to be admitted to the UCM Honors College or the McNair Scholars Program and for graduate students to conduct and present research with Educational Foundations faculty.
  • Network with fellow educators: Our faculty are actively involved with professional organizations. Get introduced to these associations and attend meetings to get involved, learn and network.
  • Get personalized faculty attention: In both our undergraduate and graduate courses, you’ll get one-on-one attention from our faculty. Graduate students will also be assigned an Educational Foundations faculty advisor, who will ensure you’re on track to meet your academic and professional goals.

What can you do with a degree in one of UCM’s Educational Foundations programs?

UCM’s Educational Foundations master’s degree programs are designed to expand on your own knowledge base and skills, no matter where you are in your career:

  • If you’re already a certified teacher, we’ll help you hone your skills so that you can excel in your craft. You may also choose to share your enhanced knowledge with your colleagues by becoming an instructional coach or lead teacher, as examples.
  • If you’re a college graduate who wants to make a career move to teaching, UCM offers you an alternative pathway. You can apply your previous college experience to join our master’s program and get the educational foundation required for certification.

Trust UCM’s Educational Foundations for the expertise and efficiency you need to launch your career or broaden its horizons.
