Mr. Avery Deevers is an instructor for Career & Technical Education within the Department
of Leadership & Career Preparation. He serves as the Program Coordinator for the BSE
in Secondary Education, CTE content areas. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Education
in Agriculture Education from UCM and his Master of Education in Educational Leadership
from William Woods University. He began his career with UCM as an adjunct instructor
in the Career and Technical Education program and transitioned to a full-time role
in 2024. Prior to joining UCM, he spent 10 years teaching agriculture at the middle
and high school levels.
During that time, Mr. Deevers served as a National Agriculture Teacher Ambassador
for the National FFA Organization. While at the University of Missouri, he worked
as the Agriculture Education Statewide Professional Development Specialist and the
Missouri FFA State Career Development Coordinator. He currently chairs the Missouri
Agriculture Education Teacher Recruitment & Retention Committee and is an active member
of both the National Association of Agricultural Educators and the Association for
Career & Technical Education.
