Dr. Mulvey began teaching at UCM as an adjunct in Spring 2022 and joined the faculty full time in Fall 2023 after retiring from her position as Assistant Superintendent in the Grain Valley R-V School District where she oversaw the academic services department. She earned both a BS and MS in Business Education from MU, her EdS in Educational Leadership from UCM, and her EdD in Educational Leadership at Saint Louis University. She has over a dozen years' experience as a classroom teacher and has served as an administrator in both Grain Valley and in the Harrisonville Cass R-IX School District. She has had success during her years as an administrator with helping individual students close achievement gaps as well as improving and transforming tier 1 reading instruction. When she's not helping to shape future educators and administrators, Dr. Mulvey enjoys traveling, watching Kansas City sports teams, Broadway musicals, crafting, and spending time with her family and friends.
