Dr. Charlene Atkins earned her BSE in Business Education and MS Educational Technology from UCM. She earned her MS in Mathematics from Montana State University and her PhD in Mathematics Education from Kansas State University. With 15 years teaching mathematics and over 12 years teaching at the post-secondary level, Dr. Atkins brings relevant experience to the classroom. Her teaching, research, and service foci encompass the intersections of mathematics education, teacher education, and instructional technology. She stays current on innovative curriculum delivery, helping future educators remain competitive in today’s cutting-edge classrooms. She currently teaches courses in algebraic reasoning, geometry and measurement, computer science, and data and probability. She is also an active member of NCTM, MCTM, CSTA, and the DESE Computer Science Advisory Council. In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor adventures with her family, horseback riding, and volleyball.
