Dr. Nabat Erdogan earned her first Ph.D. in Linguistics from Azerbaijan University of Languages in 2008 and her second Interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and English from the University of Missouri - Kansas City in 2018. She has over twenty years of experience in TESOL and has worked with elementary, middle, and high school students. She has developed and coordinated English as a Second Language (ESL) programs, and taught both undergraduate and graduate Linguistics and TESOL courses both in the United States and abroad. Dr. Erdogan’s research interests include comparative typological linguistics, applied linguistics, syntax, phonetics, and second language literacy. Her long-term goal is to contribute to research in the areas of Applied Linguistics and Second Language Teaching and Learning. She is excited to guide the education of English learners through the preparation of ESOL teachers and TESOL professionals.
