Prior to coming to UCM in 2002, Dr. Odin Jurkowski served as a librarian in and around Chicago. He earned his BS in Science & Technology in Context with a Mechanical Engineering specialization from Illinois Institute of Technology, MLIS in Library & Information Science from Dominican University, MS in Technical Communication & Information Design from Illinois Institute of Technology, and his EdD in Instructional Technology from Northern Illinois University. At UCM he has served as a professor of Library Science and Information Services, professor of Educational Technology, president of the faculty senate, Honors College faculty fellow, a graduate program coordinator, department chair, associate dean, and director for graduate education and research. His research interests include distance education, online communication, managing information, and classroom technology. In his spare time, Dr. Jurkowski and his wife, Dr. Deanna Jurkowski, enjoy spending time with their five children.
