Accountancy

Professional Licensure Education Requirements

UCM's B.S.B.A. and M.A. degrees in Accountancy, together, offer a seamless path of preparation for the Certified Public Accountant exam.  In addition, students who successfully complete the B.S.B.A. and M.A. degrees in accountancy will  meet the degree and credit hour requirement of 150 cr. Hrs. required for licensure  in all 50 states in the United States of America.  For more information about the educational requirements for these programs please review the brochure and the Accountancy program website.  

 

Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International Accreditation:

AACSB international accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education. UCM’s Accountancy program is one of only 183 accounting programs accredited by AACSB. It represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide. Many employers only recruit at AACSB accredited schools.

 

Additional Requirements for Licensure

Licensure is state specific, and each state has requirements that are in addition to the 150 hours of education.   Such requirements can include ethics training and work experience.  To assist in determining the additional requirements for your state, see below.
