FAME Student-Designed Merchandise

The Fashion and Apparel Merchandising program operates a business within the program that designs and sells custom products.  The first “double diamond” geometric print was designed by Lauren Riddle (now an alumni) as a class project.  This print was launched in 2013 with scarves and ties for sale during Homecoming.

A new paisley print, designed by Breann Hibberd, was launched in fall 2016.  This custom design incorporates multiple UCM logos and is available in ties, bow ties, scarves and t-shirts. Both prints are copyrighted and are exclusive to the fashion program.

This project allows students to participate in print design, product development, sourcing, pricing, promotion, and tracking sales and profit.  This provides hands-on experience in multiple areas of the industry for UCM students.
