UCM Theatre and Dance Presents a Special Holiday Production of The Gift of the Magi
University of Central Missouri Theatre and Dance will present a production of O. Henry’s The Gift of the Magi. The play is adapted by Jon Jory, and the production will run Dec. 5-8 in UCM’s James L. Highlander Theatre. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Dec. 5- 7 and 2 p.m. Dec. 7-8.

Filling a position that is critical to student learning at the University of Central Missouri, Dr. Lisa Toms, Russellville, Arkansas, has been named vice provost for Academic Programs and Services. She begins her new responsibilities at UCM on Jan. 2, 2020.

Students Question About "Why Vote?' Leads to Research, Action
On their way to learning how to teach social studies to high school students, University of Central Missouri students this fall addressed the question “Why vote?” Their response led to a practical exercise in voter education and original research that may help increase other students’ participation in the voting process, particularly those who are far from home.

UCM Student Claims Gold Award at Annual State Farm Marketing and Sales Competition
Orlando Hatfield, a marketing student from the University of Central Missouri, claimed the Gold Award in the Customer Service Role Play category at the 2019 State Farm Marketing and Sales Competition Friday, Nov. 8 at UCM.
